CyanotypeWorkshops and vouchers

Annabel offers taster workshops for both beginners and those who would like to experiment further with this magical process. Cyanotype printing is an alternative photographic process, also known as ‘sun print’ or ‘blue print’. Annabel prepares a solution which is painted onto thick paper. When exposed to the sun or UV light, it reacts and transforms into a beautiful Prussian blue colour. Materials such as plants, shells, seaweed are placed on the paper during the exposure which block the sunlight and create beautiful images. During the workshop, materials are collected in the countryside outside Annabel’s studio, then she will guide you through various cyanotype processes using either the sun or a light box in her studio. Around 6 to 8 prints are created to take home with you. All ages and abilities welcome.

“I had such a wonderful experience with Annabel. She was such a kind, patient teacher, letting me go at my own pace and making it fun and interesting. I have no experience of cyanotype and so was a bit nervous but she put me at ease and was really encouraging. It felt really unrushed and I felt like I had so much time to really get into the process. The whole experience was so life giving and helped me tap into my own creativity. I would highly recommend this course.”
