I have been a practising printmaker since graduating from Brighton University in 1994. I mainly focus on collograph printing which I find to have unlimited versitality. I have a passion for texture, layering and creating surfaces to get varying effects. I concentrate on the juxtaposition of one form against the other to establish a balanced composition when selecting forms and shapes that appeal to me. I enjoy using rich colours and printing layers of colour to create depth.

Living in Cornwall provides me with an unlimited supply of ideas, there is a constant flow of inspiration for my work. Coastal walks, exploring rock formations and collecting found and natural materials is a fantastic source for my way of working. I depict my subject matter from these sources and focus on a chosen area/selected forms. This is the starting block for my plates which I create using card, aluminium or wood.

I have exhibited on a regular basis in group shows such as the Mall Galleries, London, Pump House Gallery, Battersea, Collyer Bristow Galleries, London and Open Houses in Brighton. I currently exhibit locally at the Penwith Gallery, Artisan at Tremenheere sculpture gardens as well as the Society of Artists in St Ives, Cornwall. I currently work as a tutor at the Porthmeor Print Workshop, St Ives and run regular collograph workshops there. I also work at the Tate St Ives as a Learning facilitator, working on the educational programme. Please see my blog for recent news, dates for forthcoming workshops and exhibitions. Come along to say hello at the St Ives September festival at the Porthmeor  Print Workshop above the Penwith gallery this year! (see blog).
